  • Through knowledge about the Renaissance, you'll start to understand all kinds of art in a whole new way.
  • We learn about symbols and themes in art, something that totally changes the art experience. 
  • Every week we get to know artists, see beautiful works of art, both paintings, sculpture, buildings, and we hear exciting stories and anecdotes. 
  • You will learn exactly where to find these works of art in real life.
  • You will obtain an excellent basis for planning future travels, particularly to Florence, but also to Rome, Paris, Europe in general.
  • I am available for your questions throughout the whole course period.

  • Module 2: Humanism and Christianity. The Medici family, Ghirlandaio, Fra Filippo Lippi, Verrocchio. Santa Maria Novella. The golden ratio. Etc.
  • Module 3: Botticelli and his world, Lorenzo the magnificent, Filippino Lippi, Northern Europe. The Uffizi gallery.
  • Module 4: Leonardo da Vinci and his genious, Albrecht Dürer, Grünewald, San Miniato al Monte. The hills surrounding Florence. Etc.
  • Module 5: Michelangelo, Raphael, Pieter Bruegel. Florence and Rome. The Sixtine Chapel. The Borghese gallery and garden. Etc.
  • Module 6: Titian, Reni, Bronzino, Parmigiano, The Pitti Palace, Boboli Gardens. Etc.
